GRAVIDADE ZERO mixes by AZELPDS

So... this DJ in Portugal does a podcast called Zero Gravity (Gravidade Zero) which features an hour long mix, and he does these shorter ones, 15 to 30 minutes in length, with only a few songs.
As for tracklisting-- lots of experimental electronica, shoegaze, old school alternative, modern bands that need to be heard, and just the right touch of pre-Manson gothic- very impressive musical knowledge and a good ear for music-- an INCREDIBLE ear for music actually- because every new song you hear will have you scrambling for the tracklist- to find out what you just heard.

I can't say enough about Azelpds... just listen to some of his mixes!!

The one I chose is #25 and features a broad spectrum of sounds- covering a little bit of everything. This is hardly the best one- but a great overview, none the less.

01. Alone Together - Komoriuta

02. Keep Away From Heat - Heavy Metal Birds

03. Apparat - Useless Information

04. Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla

05. The Tear Garden - Romulus and Venus

06. Say Hi - We Lost the Albatross

07. Frightened Rabbit - Poke

08. Jane's Addiction - Three Days

09. Love & Rockets - No Big Deal

10. The Jesus & Mary Chain - UV Ray

11. Metric - Ending Start

12. Pretty Girls Make Graves - Holy Names

13. Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)

14. U2 - The Ocean

Worth it for the Sigur Ros > Tear Garden segue alone!!

Sounds like the most perfect radio station in the world...

Thx so much again for the words and it's amazing how you describe many of the things that i feel when i'm doing these mixs and experiences, or when i'm listening to then after i get out from that kind of 'transe state' and listen to then outside of it.

I can't thank you enough for the words and overviews. :)

  2. Great work!! PLEASE make more : )

I found you completely by accident while doing an archive search for "Lusine"-- your setlists drew me in immediately!

I have a bunch of your short mixes in a file and then I play them on "shuffle" with about a 3 second overlap-- sounds perfect everytime.

  3. I will i will, it's stronger than me :p

Interesting that you do that. I decided to put on dvd most that i recorded from 2006 till now (i have older ones somewhere), and listening to them on shuffle it's one of the things that i like to do sometimes too. :)

Thx again for the words and feedback :)
